Kelly's Surprise Party

Jake was very sneaky and arranged a surprise party for Kelly's 30th birthday party. It truly was a surprise to Kelly, as you can see from these photos. The party was at Mama's house, with about 20 friends celebrating alongside the birthday girl. Everybody had a great time, and it proved to be a birthday party worth remembering!

Champagne Dinner

We bought some champagne on Saturday that was from a winery we visited in Napa. We enjoyed it Saturday night with a cheese and fruit plate. Yummy!

Beer Making!

We spent the afternoon at Jake's on Sunday, and enjoyed the smoked ribs and chicken he made. While Jake, Greg, and Bob made some homemade beer, Jacky and Mae enjoyed entertaining the rest of us.

Family Visits

We have enjoyed having family visit us this summer.

Napa & Sonoma

We traveled to Napa and Sonoma, California, in June, and had a fabulous time! We spent about half a day in San Francisco, and about four days in Napa and Sonoma. We rented a convertible and drove around the countryside to different wineries tasting their wine. We had a few winery tours, as well. We tasted some excellent wine, ate some delicious meals, and just had a lot of fun. We had such a good time, in fact, that we plan on going back for our next vacation!

Summer Veggies

We planted our first garden this summer, and are enjoying our harvest! We have a huge plum tomato plant, two bell pepper plants (green and orange), and several different types of herbs. Check out these photos of our bumper crop...
