End of Summer

With September just around the corner, we are enjoying our last days of summer. Greer had a playdate at the lake yesterday, and enjoyed one more swim.

Greer has some attachment issues with her Daddy - this is a picture of her chasing after him when he walked away.
So long, summer...hello, football weather!

On a different note, next week is "Family Week" at Greer's school. Her teacher asked us to bring in a picture of our family - something I realized we didn't really have. So, I asked someone at church this morning to take a photo - not the best one of me, but it's nice to have a picture of the three of us together.
I think I've mentioned this before, but Greer really loves to put as much food in her mouth as possible. While it's funny at times, it sometimes results in her spitting out the food or choking. Here's an example of her with a mouthful of cereal:

New Trick

As I mentioned in a previous post, Greer really likes repetition. Once she finds a new trick, she does it over and over again. In the pictures below, you'll see that climbing stairs is her new hobby. She gets up with no problem, but she hasn't mastered coming back down yet.

Our Little Contortionist

Greer really enjoys finding a way to squeeze herself into tight spots, then doing it over and over and over again. She spent a good bit of time this morning climbing underneath the chair and then back out again. I filmed a few minutes of it and posted it below - it's probably only entertaining to her parents and grandparents, though.

Outside Time

We spent an hour or so at the lake today, and I took some photos. Check them out:

Granny's Visit

Granny came to visit last weekend, and spent lots of quality time with Greer, Jacky, and Mae (and the rest of us, too). Here are some pictures from the weekend:

Sick Girl

Greer got her chicken pox vaccine a couple of weeks ago, and has had a negative reaction this week. She has pox all over her little body, and has had a high fever for several days (this is only the second or third time she's ever had a fever, so it seems worse than maybe it is). She has felt pretty bad, but seems to be feeling better today. Maybe this means she's done with the chicken pox from this point on.

Walking, Walking, Walking...

Greer is walking everywhere now! She still crawls occasionally when she really wants to get somewhere fast, but she walks much more than crawls. Here's a video of her walking just before bedtime.

Playing with Cousins

Jake, Kelly, Jacky, and Mae came over for lunch on Sunday, and Greer enjoyed playing with them. Here are some photos of the fun.

Mae pushing Greer on the car.

Oops! Ran into the wall.
