Family Time

We had a nice weekend with a visit from Grandma and Aunts Cyndi, Susan, and Jackie. We had a great time overindulging in food and spending time together. Here are some photos from the weekend.

The Official Party

Greer waited patiently the last two weeks for her "official" birthday party, and it was worth the wait! We celebrated her third birthday over the weekend at a local ice cream shop, complete with face-painting and balloon animals. Everyone had a great time, and the kids enjoyed running wild for a couple of hours. Greg's family came into town to celebrate and spend a little time with Celia. For all the photos, click HERE.

Celia at One Month

It's hard to believe, but Celia is a month old! As her personality emerges, here are a few notable traits:

LIKES: being held all the time, eating (every two hours during the day, a little less frequent at night), sleeping, being swaddled, looking at lights and ceiling fans, a clean diaper, crying.

DISLIKES: not being held, being held in an unpleasant position, being hungry, a dirty diaper, hiccups, having her diaper changed, baths, having her clothes changed.

Even with her strong preferences, she is still a sweet little girl and is doing very well. She is gaining weight like crazy, and the doctor said that her growth is "jumping curves" on the growth chart. As of Tuesday, she weighed 8 lbs. and 10.5 oz. and was 20 3/4 inches long. With that trajectory, I assume she'll be around 9 lbs. by the end of the week!

Happy Birthday, Greer!

While Greer's official birthday party is still a couple of weeks away, we had a small celebration on her actual birthday (Monday). We started the morning with chocolate-chip Mickey Mouse pancakes. After that, Greer spent the rest of the morning exploring outside with binoculars, followed by a visit from MamaSu, Jake, Jacky, and Mae for some pool time. We had a yummy lunch and a Care Bears birthday cake, followed by a few presents. Greer had a blast, and even got a second celebration when we surprised her with a cake at school the next day. She is such a sweet girl, and has made our lives very sweet, too!

Seeing Daylight Again

I finally left the house and re-entered the world this weekend. It was nice to see the sunshine and other people, but stressful trying to wrangle a three-year-old and take care of a two-week-old at the same time away from home. Anyway, we made a trip to the tailgate market, and had a nice time.

Check back in a few days for photos from Greer's third birthday!!!
