Weekend Trip

Our family went to Atlanta this weekend to celebrate Connor's 5th birthday. We had a nice time, and enjoyed seeing Greg's parents, sister, and her family. This was our first roadtrip with Greer when we did not drive at night (making the drive part of her night time sleep). Instead, we timed the trip with her morning naps, so she slept about 1 1/2-2 hours each way. She did pretty good in the car, although this was not a long trip (normally takes about 3 1/2 hours to get from our house to Stacey's). Anyway, it was a good test to see what it will be like traveling with her for longer periods of time. Here are some pictures from the trip:

Walking!

Greer has been walking for about a week now, and she is getting better (and braver) everyday! Of course, when I pulled-out the camera to film her...she didn't really want to walk anymore. Anyway, here is a short video of her walking, but she is actually doing much better than this.

Big Weekend!

New Toy!

MamaSu gave Greer a new toy for her birthday, and she loves it! It's a short table that you pour water inside. Greer loves water, and she splashed and played with this all morning! It was raining outside, so we just put it on the porch. As you can see, she got soaked! Click on the photo below to make it bigger.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GREER!

While others were celebrating the 4th of July, we were celebrating Greer's first birthday! We had a great day of fun, including....

Homemade peach ice cream and cake (surprisingly, she didn't really like it)...

And just a good day all-around with Mama and Daddy.

I've had such a good year, and I am so happy to be alive. I have been such a blessing to Mama and Daddy, and they feel so lucky to have been chosen to be my parents. It has been a wonderful year for our entire family!

Among my latest accomplishments: a new tooth on bottom (5 total), taking steps everyday but not quite walking, eating lots of finger food and very little baby food...and working on the sippy cup, sleeping better and playing harder, talking all the time ("nay-nay-nay-nay" when she's not happy, "good-good-good-good" when she is happy....wish we could get "Mama" and "Daddy" mastered. I also love books and want to be read to constantly!

My big birthday party is next weekend, and I'm excited! I can't wait to show everyone what a big girl I am!
