The kitties have enjoyed exploring the nursery and inspecting all of the new baby stuff. In fact, Mr. Kitty tested out the bassinet this afternoon to make sure it was acceptable for the new baby...
An Alabama football autographed to Greg from Coach Saban!
Greg's family came to Asheville Memorial Day weekend to visit and to celebrate Greg's 30th birthday. We all had a good time seeing each other, and spent Sunday afternoon at the lake.
My former coworkers at the University of North Carolina at Asheville (UNCA) were so sweet and gave Greg and me a baby shower earlier this week. It was great to see them again, and to be able to celebrate our addition to the family with them. We had a wonderful dinner, a delicious cake, and they gave us a great present - baskets of all the necessities (diapers, wipes, bottles, etc.). I am very lucky to have worked with them, and can't wait to take Baby Sullins by for a visit.
I had a wonderful baby shower in Birmingham on Saturday. I was so happy to see friends that I hadn't seen in years, and to catch-up with everyone. The hostesses outdid themselves with wonderful food (including a beautiful cake), a perfect setting, and such a sweet gift. I left with a smile after having such a great time, and am so thankful to have such thoughtful friends and family!
Jake and Kelly hosted a baby shower for us Saturday night, and it was lots of fun! You can see from the photos above (click to enlarge) that the decorations were very pretty, the games were fun (everyone measured my stomach during one game to see who could guess the closest to the real measurement), and we all enjoyed ourselves. It was fun to see our Asheville friends together - some had never met each other before - and celebrate the arrival of the baby with food, family, and friends. We also got some great gifts, too!
